On 14 July 2025, we conducted Scented Soap making class for 2X Marketing and had 20 eager participants join us for an afternoon of learning, crafting and also some fun along the way!
Before the workshop began, we ensured everything was safe and ready to proceed. Since electrical appliances were involved, we double-checked the setup to make sure it was safe.
We started by having Yi-Ling to introduce the main characters of today's workshops - the ingredients!
Starting with our variety of Pure Essential Oils that comes with natural scent and aromatherapy benefits such as Lavender that provides a calming soothing scent for relaxing and then followed by creamy Soap Base & Carrier Oil to provide a nourishing shower experience. Lastly, the colourants for design (and fun) purposes to customize the looks of the soap.
All ingredients used are skin-friendly and plant-based and meant to be suitable for even people with sensitive skin.

With the introductions done, we then moved on to the main event which is the soap-making session. From melting the soap base, mix in essential oils, add colours, and finally pour them into soap molds. We gave time to our participants to try on their own for the spirit of DIY, but we were always there to help whenever anyone needed help.
When everything was done, the tables were filled with fragrant, colourful soaps. Some participants shared with us how they usually avoid some commercial products that have strong chemicals and artificial substances due to sensitive skin or eczema and how nice it felt to create something they can use with peace of mind.
For us, it wasn’t just about making soap. It was also about slowing down, enjoying the process, and bonding together. Everyone left with not only a bar of soap they made themselves, but also a meaningful memory of the day.
